Okay, I admit it, I love Anderson Cooper! I have a huge crush on him and have for a long time.
Does anyone know if he's gay? He's always on Ellen....well he's always on Oprah too, but I don't care. I love him anyway if he is. I only wish he'd come out-of-the-closet or find a girlfriend.

Thanks TVD,
I have pretty good gaydar and figured he was but you never know. I didn't know about the OUT magazine article. I bought his book so much of the information on the wiki link I already knew.
He makes a good argument about his personal life not being discussed because of his journalist status, but I bet he's staying in the closet more due to his contract with CNN.
Before I was a Registered Dietitian I worked in Television for 5 years (Radio and newspaper too) Many anchors have "moral clauses" written into them which forces them to stay in the closet due to the conservatives backlash.
I don't care I love him.

| He's just a paid talking head. He wears more makeup than any average woman - gay, straight, whatever - not an issue... I'll watch Olberman any day of the week over cooper.

Me too. MSNBC is way better than cnn and faux.
The American CNN is the same old same old and outdated but the CNN International blows the US 'version' out of the water.

I can't even watch faux news... or CNN... they both make me ill... I'm a libertarian and prefer to gather my news from many independent services... independent journalists, blogs, foreign news... even CNN International has its own slant on the news -
You have to cobble it all together from various sources and then put a story together yourself

Keith Olberman is nothing more than an aging sportscaster who was forced to do news, he's hardly a hard news guy or journalist. Anderson Cooper has been a writer and hard news journalist since he graduated from college and reported in areas of the world where no one else would go to get the story. He's not only great looking but sensitive to important issues that get overlooked.
You guys don't know what you're talking about. But as far as CNN International goes, they do an excellent job, but most Americans aren't concerned as much about what's going on outside the US, as most people are only concerned about what's happening in their own backyards.
To each their own....variety is the spice of life isn't it.

| Oberman was a great sports newscaster. i loved him on Sportscenter.
