This is to nominate what you believe to be the best sitcom that doesn't have new seasons any more.

I have to take the obvious choice and pick Seinfield with a runner up of Everybody Loves Raymond.

I don't think you'll be able to get one that is better than those but if you think you can... let's hear it.

Game On

It's a little obscure but this was my favourite sitcom of all time.

I'd also nominate the Young Ones.

Cheers is still a good watch! It is just not on as much anymore, but the shows hold up even all these years later.

Cheers is a classic. The theme tune alone is enough to take me back to my childhood. :))

I still really enjoy catching Roseanne whenever the opportunity comes up. I really liked that it was a show about more realistic people with more real-world problems. They just don't seem to make 'em like that anymore.

However, I only say that as my first choice because i don't suppose Futurama counts as a Sitcom.

Cheers was before my time but I did catch a few episodes on Nick at Nite and is definitely one that will go down as a classic.

Is The Young Ones a sitcom?

Cheers and Roseanne for sure!

What about: Family Ties, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Home Improvement?

The Fresh Prince, that was great. So was 'Married with Children".

Would the Simpsons be considered a sitcom?

Well, I'm going to be the fish out on land when I mention Sons & Daughters.

God, that show was hilarious! Fred Goss is a genious. In case you guys forgot about it, Sons & Daughters was a show created my Fred Goss (from Significant Others) and Lorne Michaels (SNL) that made use of improvisational comedy throughout the entire show. I was about the odd relationships between a dysfunctional family, kind of like Arrested Development, only more believable.

Sucks ABC had to cancel it after its first season because of bad ratings.

My favorite sitcom was probably Taxi.  Anybody remember the episode where Jim gets his license?

"What's a yellow light mean?"

"Slow dowwnnnn!"  :)

What I really liked about that show though was that it wasn't just a comedy.  There were some really touching episodes, like the one where Alex's prized dog dies.  Network TV today can't even approach something this good.  Kinda sad really...
