| Well I first started Y & R when it first launched..when Paul anf Nikki were teens and in love..lol. She was a stripper or call girl or something like that. I think that is when Victor worked on making an honest person out of her. Yah way back then. I sneak a peek about once a year and see there are alot of the old cast still there.

| My wife DVR's this soap every single day and I have to admit that every now and then I catch a few minutes of her watching it. The funny thing is that you can have absolutely no idea at all what is goin on and pick up the plot, lol

Here is an update from her from the show on Wed Jan 11th
Carmen's killer has still not been found or caught
Everyone is still a suspect and the DA is driving everyone nuts
Jack's hidden agenda to secretly own Jabot is falling apart and Victor is closing in on his web of lies and deceit.
New development is Carmen's X lover from her old town who shows up and goes on TV and tells everyone who will listen that Drusilla is the real killer, instead of Devon.
Today's show ends with Drusilla coming home to find all of her beloved closing ripped and torn and all over her house. She fears someone is still in the house as the final credits roll.

Update from my wife on The Young and The Restless. I watched Friday's show with her, so here is a recap to catch everyone up -
The plot with Carmen gets even thicker as it is finally confirmed that she is actually alive and her death has been a long (month and month long) fake out job. Carmen's X lover from her old town is in on the deception. Drusilla is in a mental hospital and thinks she is nuts.
Michael's brother Kevin is accused of killing Carmen and Jenna and others, but that to was a big set up by Jenna. Everyone was accused of these crimes including Professor Korbel (sp??). It looks like Devon is in the clear now.
Colleen was in a coma after all of the excitement and when she wakes up she confirms that Kevin is innocent and actually helped save her.
Everything is starting to unravel for Jenna, Carmen and Carmen's X.
The police and DA come to question Colleen and she tells them the same stuff and what happened to her. She tells them about Jenna's entire scam and how she tried to frame Professor Korbel and Kevin and others. It comes out about the ancient piece of art Jenna was trying to get and learn about with a person she said was her father. Colleen says that she was so wrong about Kevin.
Back to Drusilla in the mental ward and she is still frantic and wacko. NO ONE on ANY soap plays crazy and wacko better then Drusilla.
Back at the coffee house Kevin is assaulted while all of this is coming out and is seriously injured. He is hit by JT with a coffee pot and is taken to the hospital. Michael wants charges filed against JT. The police take statements from everyone. Kane is back and married. Mrs Chancellor is there and wants to tell Kane that she is his mother. Why she does not tell him makes no sense at all. The police detain JT, who obviously is in trouble for the assault.
Colleens family tells her about the treasure that has been found in another country and turned over to the government. Kevin is awake at the hospital and his mother and Michael are all there and upset at EVERYONE for blaming him. Professor Korbel shows up to see Colleen.

| The Young & The Restless is probably more about a routine than an actual interest. You just grow to know the characters and the storylines and watching the show becomes part of your day. True - it's not the most brilliant show on TV, but there must be some kind of magic that keeps viewers coming back for more.

I used to watch Y&R religiously! not so much anymore, and yet when I do watch
it again, I can connect with the story line in no time. I miss when they change
characters, ruins it for a while .

I just started to watch Y&R recently again, feels like I never
stopped watching it, only that some of the main characters
have changed.
Wish Dynasty and Falcon Crest oh can't forget Dallas
reruns were on again, I'd watch them, they were all my
favorite night time soaps!
