How many of the members actually use the shoutbox? I haven't exactly used it yet, but I just posted a message today - so its my first time!

| I think it would get used more if it were at the top of the forum, but then again, I'll bet that there will be some people that don't like it there too. You can't please everyone! lol

| It's the first place I go when I hit the site... before I post any messages I always say hi, or similar. Of course it would be lovely if you were having conversations in real time with lots of people... but I don't mind. I don't have the time for it anyway lol

I agree. I never understood why forums need to have a shoutbox.

| I just leave it there. It does not bother me and some people post each time they come. I have the room so it does not do anything either way. All good.

It's a great feature! and like Elle, I too go straight to the shout box
when I first log in also I think it's great for a quick "info share"
 can take peeps a little getting used to I think.

| I can see using a shoutbox on a site that isn't a forum, or a site where there are other sections besides the forums... (well, assuming you could get the shoutbox to work on non-forum pages...)
