Have you thought about upgrading to vBulletin?

I think this forum would look great with vBulletin.

I have thought about it, but just no reason to. I have all the same features in this custom theme and I already paid for this software, etc. Sure VB is a big program, but there is no real reason that I can see to change, other then saying "it is a VB forum", which really means nothing in the end. The members mean everything and their participation is what is the most important :)

I am willing to listen if you can give me a good reason to consider a switch.

Is wowbb going to continue maintaining and updating this 'style' of forum? The new one is nothing like this one.

to be honest, I don't really care what they do, I dont plan to change. I like the 1.7 version and it has everything i think we need right now.

I might consider wowultra or one of the other offshoot wowbb programs down the line, but not yet.

This looks fine to me. I would not change it either. It is all set up, why go through the hassle and work of changing anyway. :)

The only reason I can think of that would make me change an existing board that runs well woould be if any major security holes were discovered in the software.

I quite like this forum software, I think for what you have done with it, has been excellent, and like you said, if this software offers all that you need, than i don't see why you need to move. I think functionality, is more important than features, and all that counts is that your content with it.

I'd also vote for vbulletin, I've used many different bulletin/forum packages and vb is the best by far.
