Giant Squid: Caught on Camera - any of you catch this 1 hour show?

Really stunning. There have been tons of shows about the giant squid that show the huge bodies of these animals washed up on shore or in fishing nets, but always dead. This is the first show I have ever seen with actual pictures of a live giant squid. It was pretty cool how obsessed some of the scientists are with this animal and how amazing it is that there is SO LITTLE known info about this animal that lives on the planet with us.

Very interesting show.

I did watch this. Cool show! It's fascinating how much we don't know about what resides in our oceans.

How great was it when those scientists were sitting around watching the tape and they first see the live giant squid. it was like discovering fire, lol.

It was a great documentary and I agree with you how amazing it is that we just have very little idea about a lot of the planet we live on.

That is amazing!

Those squids really put the frighteners up me.

Slightly off topic, but did anyone see that prehistoric shark they caught on film last week?

was that on one of these channels? i would love to see that. I did see the Jurassic Shark show on Discovery, which is a 1 hour documentary on the shark's evolution.

I would love to see the story or pics from what you mentioned.

So far I've only seen it on the net, but I think it's been doing the rounds on news channels.

Did you hear just recently a fisherman actually caugth a giant squid on accident? That made me think of the guy in that show. Imagine how he spent his whole life in search of what someone caught on accident.
