This is great. Les Stroud is great and a well know 'outdoors man' in Canada.
We actually get it on 'Outdoor Life Canada' here. I am eagerly awaiting for the next instalments.
He sure eats some 'weird' stuff but always manages to eat and build some sort of shelter and get a fire going.
Too bad he has to lug all that camera stuff around himself, but hey, that makes it even better.

He survies everywhere! I saw one episode where he was drifting on a raft for a couple of days and ended up stranded on an island for about a week.
He is pretty good about making traps from nothing so he usually gets rabbit or lizard. Haven't seen grubs yet.

| I hate that he practically starves himself. He could fish or kill a larger animal, like a bird or snake, but he would rather eat insects a berries. I love the show anyway, I just wish he wouldn't starve himself.

My roommate loves this show and turned me on to it. I liked the one where he's in the Outback and builds those Scorpian traps. Man...he was out there in like 125 degree heat and had to survive off a canteen and whatever moisture he could make from some MacGuyver contraption. Just some crazy stuff!

It was actually the condensation of his piss that he drank. And frankly, I would do this before I ate a bug which I think he also did on that episode.
