I see there isn't a thread about Top Gear on here yet.

i am really loving series 9 of top gear and tonights was just a serious laugh out loud :-D) episode. I can't believe those people in Alabama when Jeramy, Richard and James stopped for petrol at the petrol station. It really was a bad place to stop...christ all mighty i was shocked!!!

good ep though :_T)

We love this show. I am not sure what series we are up to, but we don't miss an episode. This weeks episode was the one with Jeremy in the Bughatti and James piloting himself and Hammond in a small plane from Italy to London. The usual ups and downs with James admitting  he hadn't got his licence for night flying at the last minute.

I love Jeremy's enthuisiasm for the cars, his comments make you feel like your in the car with him. This is a must not miss show.

thanks for that. I brought hubby the dvd's that they released a few months ago. A 3 disc set includes their winter olympics where they race the rally car against a bob sled down a mountain, awesome stuff.

it's funny, clarkson is a comedy genius!

"We all know that small cars are good for us. But so is cod liver oil. And jogging. I want to drive around in a Terminator, not the heroine in an EM Forster novel."

"On the seventh day God didn’t rest. He looked at what he had created and thought: 'Oh dammit, England’s gone all wrong. The sea is washing silt off the coastlines in the north and depositing them in an ugly bulbous lump near Kent’. Today we call this unholy place East Anglia."

I guess I just don't get his sense of humour.

I find Clarkson an egotistical bore, but each to their own.

I liked the Hamster fella.

Was I reading right the other night when I read that Top Gear could be going to the USA?

I have got to admit Richard Hammond is brilliant in Top Gear and I also liked him in Brainiac but in Top Gear without Jeremy Clarkson there couldn't really be any fun as the other guy doesn't seem to have as much of a sense of humour as Richard and Jeremy.

There is talk of an American series but it would be in addition to the UK one, not a replacement :)

...and no doubt totally different.

I don't know why the US take programmes to the UK sometimes, and then totally change them.

They might as well just come up with their own material in the first place.
