I think we need a Dr Who thread on here.
Is this show popular all over the world? The new one and the old ones?
Tonight's show on the BBC saw the return of the dreaded Daleks, and was obviously fantastic. You can't beat an alien bio-mechanical Nazi for a sci-fi bad guy!
We can use this thread to dicuss all things in the Dr Who universe, the latest shows, old favourites and of course the age old question, "who's your favourite Who?"
And who was your favourite 'assistant' of course.

One for all the dads there. ;)Last edited on Sat Apr 21st, 2007 07:59 pm by Morningstarr

LOL... I must have missed that episode.
I used to watch as a kid (and hide behind the sofa) but I don't really bother nowadays...

| If there were enough hours in the day, then I'd possibly watch it. ;)

| I never used to bother with Dr Who not even the old ones but over the last few weeks I have given it a try and found it to be quite interesting to be honest, I think from seeing the old ones I thought the new ones where going to be exactly the same, but I was wrong lol.

It was Tom Baker when I was a kid - and he's scary at the best of times!
But I've really got into the new ones. I'm really enjoying David Tennant, who's oddly tempting for a short skinny guy. But no... the new Doctor Who is really good... and I'm very glad Hubby talked me into watching it.
Can't stand Michelle Collins though - and nearly spat at the screen when I saw her appear in this week's one. Her acting hasn't improved I see!
Yes, we manage to see it in Lanzarote - but I can't tell you how... because then I'd have to kill you!

Have just watched this week's Doctor Who - and it is my favourite so far. The statues, and time travel paradoxes were great! Go Sally Sparrow!

Hope everyone's okay... Elle xx

Lol... Tom Baker used to scare me when I was little! But he's definitely the one I remember as the Doctor from then.
Lookie at you grilldog... mixing in famous circles lol. Ray Reardon read me a bedtime story, and taught me to play darts... does that match?

Well, I had to look that one up, a famous snooker player, hmmm, I'm not sure. I guess I'll let you have that!
yes, Tom Baker was probably the most dramatic one of all of them. I remember he had just finished filming jason and the argonauts (I think that was the Jason Movie) Tom played the evil magician, and next he was Dr Who LOL
I was visiting London and saw that Sly was in a pantomime of Cinderella and just had to go see it. The Racing Page Pub was right around the corner and I arrived early and the Pub Manager told me that Sly came in every day for a pint or two before the show. He offered to introduce me the next night, so I went back and Sly invited me over to join him for a pint. We chatted about American and England. I told him I was doing the tour of London, one pub at a time and he said, sounds like I'm having a great time. He even signed my playbill of the show!

| I have to admit that although I have some of David's shows on tape I haven't seen them yet and I know my European Friends love him. Also, Tom Bakers episodes were well written and with his charm, it's no wonder he lasted 7 seasons.

| My sister absolutely loves this show. I only watched a few episodes, but my favorite was when Tom Baker was the doctor. The one when he can ask one of two robots a question. One can only tell the truth and the other lies. LOL...that was a neat show!

| that was on the Egyptian episode with Sarah Jane Smith, I forget the title. Pyramids of Mars or something like that, in the end the Doc has to get to Mars to save the day from the evil guy taking over.
