Does anybody watch this series? I think it's on the 11th season or something and has been around for decades.

I haven't seen any earlier episodes, I just started watching the latest season, and it looks pretty great. The main character is so funny and wierd. Apparently every season they get a new guy to play the main character.

There's also a huge storyline or something so it's managed to become some sort of UK startrek-like following. (As in, there are people who follow the series from the very first episode)

I watch it.

I think David Tenant does a great job of playing the Doctor doesn't he?

I also watch this but I didn't watch the new ones from the beginning so looks like I will be getting the DVD's lol

I think David Tennant plays the doctor really well and he also brings the humour into it which is what makes it worth watching :)

I think it's the 11th Doctor, not the 11th season. They don't change the Doctor every season, this is David Tennant's second. Tom Baker was the longest serving Doctor, he made a series every year between 1974 and 1981.

And he is a God!

He's officially the tenth, but I always include Peter Cushing.

Is there going to be anyone else playing the Doctor after David Tennant? I did hear that they was looking for someone to be the next Doctor and I also heard a rumour which I am sure is untrue that the next one is going to be Matt Lucas (he is funny and can be cheeky but I can't see him being the doctor to be honest)

I think it will take a while to find someone like David Tennant if they are looking for a new one as David Tennant has just claimed that part to be honest with his cheekiness in the series.

I'd be surprised if Tennant carried on for much longer, they get through Doctors like no ones business these days.

I think they should go for an older bloke next time, like the first Doctors were. A real eccentric.

I read somewhere that David Tennant has agreed to one more series.

So who should replace him? It's almost like guessing the next James Bond!

It's on tonight... which means I get to watch it tomorrow, thanks to generous friends back in the Uk. Gotta love em.

Thought last week's episode was fantastic - and absolutely my favourite so far. We've got Captain Jack in this week's one, haven't we? Excellent!

I've always thought that the Doctor should be played by one of the surviving Monty Python team. Tom Baker was the best Doctor, and one of the Python's would bring the same dark eccentricity.

Failing that I wouldn't mind seeing Mark Gattis from The League of Gentlemen play the Doctor. He already writes some scripts and is clearly a huge fan.

Yes, the master was good. Looking forward to part 2 next week.

We think that the Doctor might get the pocketwatch and give it to Jack, so he can be mortal again.

Loving this series!

Yep, never missed an episode of the new ones! Did anyone see the last one in the series?

Martha has got to be the best assistant so far!

I sure did. :)

I think Martha is really good as the Doctor's companion as well.

Just love this show, its been around approx.
45 years and gets better and better.
Tom Baker most def the best Doctor yet
closely followed by David Tennant..

Much better story lines and much better special effects
