Thanks. lol. I actually didn't expect any comments on that.  haha. Hmm...What can I say now?
Oh! Apparently I don't qualify for SSI anymore as of Dec 2007, but I don't know why. The paper said that I had income, but I didn't. I haven't worked in almost 2 years! I don't' understand it. I'm supposed to call and make an appt Monday to talk with someone. I wish I could go back to work so I wouldn't have to deal with this crap anymore. I hate not being able to work!

Ok, well, it turned out that the income they were talking about is a $2,000 check that they are sending me in a week, and I only don't qualify for SSI for the month of Dec, and in Jan it starts back up and is actually more, bc they weren't giving me how much they were supposed to from the beginning. lol. I'm glad I got that worked out! And it's in my favor for once!!
Anyway, there's this little girl on one of the forums I am a member of is 2 years old (will be 3 on Dec 2), and she has been on dialysis since she was born. She is having all kinds of complications right now. It seems like it's just one thing right after the other with her. I feel so bad for her. So everyone on that board is getting together to get her and her brother a Christmas present. Guess who is charge of it all since it was my idea?! Yeah, I know, I gave it away. lol. Yeah, it's your truly. I dont' mind though. I love buying baby stuff. So far I have raised $50 for her, and there is more on the way. Even my neighbor is going to her school to help get money! lol. The mom wants pic of everyone sending money too. She says that Maggie (the little girl) loves looking at pics. I can't wait to get this off to her. I feel so good sending this poor girl a present! She has been through so much and is so tough. She's tougher than me!
Anyway, just thought I'd share that with everyone.  Thanksgiving was fun. It was just me, my aunt, uncle, and grandmother. We had the big Thanksgiving dinner yesterday (Sat), bc that's when all the family could be here. What sucks is not everyone came. I didn't hear from my mom or my sister. It was me, my aunt and uncle, my other aunt, her 2 kids, one of their friends, and my fiance. My mom never spends Thanksgiving with us anymore. And we never see my sister anymore. She's pregnant and has practically disowned all of us. I hate it. I miss her, but I can't stand her at the same time.

wow - congrats on the money you will be getting. i hope it is more then you expect and that it helps out!
that is very sad about the 2 year old. I hope she gets better soon. what you are doing with the Christmas present is a incredibly nice thing to do.
one question - why do you not have a relationship with your mom or sister anymore? what happened?

I still have a relationship with them (more with my mom than my sister), but they both chose their bf's families over their own. My mom went to Alabama to spend Thanksgiving with her BF's parents, and my sister stayed where she is with her BF's parents rather than coming to our grandmother's house.
Another little update...it may be TMI, so look away if you don't want TMI. lol.
I had to make an appt with a GYN. I tend to bleed in my dialysis drain occasionally, but I didn't think it was anything major. Well, another girl at my dialysis unit did the same thing and ended up having one of her ovaries removed, along with a 5lb cyst on it! So I made the appt, went to it, and told the GYN about the other patient. She did an ultrasound and saw some cysts, but bc of the dialysis fluid in my belly, she couldn't see how big they were. She did say that cysts are normal as long as they don't get too big. So she told me to set up another ultrasound at the hospital, bc they have better equipment.
So yesterday I did that ultrasound at the hospital, and she saw cysts too and even showed them to me. I don't know how big is too big though, so I don't know if I'm in danger with these cysts or not. The GYN was supposed to call me today with the results, but she didn't. I also have to get the results to the transplant center, bc they needed an updated pap smear. So now I have everything ready to get my transplant. I just need a donor. lol.

We found out last week that William, my fiance is a match for me, so after the new year, he has to have some more tests done, then he's giving me a kidney!!
Besides that, my sister found out that she's having a boy. She's having problems with the guy she's living with, the guy that is probably the daddy of her baby, so she is trying to leave him. I'm helping her, bc she has no job and nowhere to go. I'm trying to help her find resources to help her. The guy has become abusive towards her, so that helps. She'll be able to get a place quicker bc of that. I mean, it's bad that he's like that, but at least she'll be able to get the help she needs.

Thanks! Happy Holidays to you too! Sorry I've been away. My cousins stayed with me during Christmas and just been really busy here.
Anyway, my sister has finally decided to tell the guy she's living with that she wants to leave. I stopped trying to help her, bc all she did was drag me into the drama with her. I can't handle that crap. I know I keep saying it, and I keep going back. I'm dumb like that.
The GYN finally called back and said that the cysts they found were normal ones and that everything "there" is fine.
William got the date for his testing. It is January 11. We have to go to Alabama, a 5-hour drive, for a whole day of back to back testing, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, urine test, blood work, etc. I don't know when the surgery will be yet. It all depends on how his testing goes.

Sorry. I've been away again. I've been busy bc the one year anniversary is coming up on my site, and the members and I are trying to come up with T-shirts to put on CafePress. Since I've never done that before, I'm spending a lot of my time reading about it.
Besides that, my sister is a fruit cake, and I'm tired of dealing with her. I know I keep saying that, but I just can't take her anymore. All she does it cause drama, and I have enough of that in my life with dialysis and all.
Speaking of dialysis...or transplant rather. William went for his testing but his creatinine came back 1.4 (they want it 0.8 to 1.3), and his fasting blood sugar was 113 (they want it 60 to 100), so he has to get more testing to make sure he is healthy enough to donate a kidney to me. They were supposed to call last week to let us know what tests to get done, when, and where, but they never did. I told William to call them at the beginning of this week, but I guess he forgot, so hopefully I'll get him to call tomorrow.

Yes, I am a member of TalkWhatever, but I rarely have time to go there anymore. I go there about as often as I come here...or less.
Anyway, I brought my sister to sign up for public housing, so I guess she really is going to leave. I haven't really talked to her much, and I don't plan on it, bc she just gets on my nerves.
We finally called the living donor coordinator, and she said she didn't call, bc she was sick. She told us to get the number to whoever schedules the outpatient tests so he can get those last two tests done, so we did that and called her today, but she didn't answer, so we left her a message. Hopefully she'll get these tests set up so we can get them done already.
We're supposed to be getting my Cutlass in the shop this week, if my mom finished putting the carpet and seats back in it, which I doubt. I only have the car I'm driving now for another week, then I'll be carless until the Cutlass is running. I'll have to drive William's Trans Am. That's going to be kind of fun. hehe.
Besides that, nothing else is really happening.

Well, I had a HUGE blow-out with my mom and sister. Long story, and I don't want to get into it, but after I get the Cutlass put in my name, I'm not asking my mom for anything else. In fact, neither my mom or sister will have my new cell phone number either. I'm tired of the way they are: immature and love DRAMA! I don't. I have enough to deal with in my life with dialysis and trying to get a transplant with all of my other health problems.
Speaking of the transplant, we've called every day this week, then finally got a call back today saying that the paperwork has been faxed to our hospital. So now all we have to do is schedule the appt. I called them today to do that, and they said they didn't have the papers and that they would call when they got them...they never called. So now it's our hospital that we are waiting on. I am going to call them again tomorrow to find out what's going on. I'll probably get rude with them. I'm getting really frustrated. I thought I would have my transplant by now. I don't want to be down during Spring Break next month, bc MTV is going to be here, but it looks like that's what's going to happen. Figures.

hang in there Shay, I know, the wait can really eat at you, but
try to keep your mind on other things or you're going to get
so wrapped up and up tight that you'll end up stressed to no end,
not worth it, they are doing their part you can be sure, and you
are staying on top of things so there's no way anyone is going
to forget to contact you guys.

Yeah, I know. It's just so frustrating. So this is what's happening today:
I called the hospital to see if they had the paperwork yet, since it's been 2 days. They said no, but this lady was a lot more helpful. She said to get them to fax it again with her name on it, so that she would get it, then call her back personally. So I called the transplant center and left a message, bc they never answer their phones. She called back a couple hours later saying that she faxed it from 2 diff faxes to make sure that it got there. So I called the hospital back and asked for Wanda. She got the fax, but she said that they don't do 4 hour glucose tolerance tests, only 3 hour ones and that I need to call back and get them to fax an order that says 3 instead of 4. So I called and left a message about an hour ago. No call yet. I probably won't get one until Monday, which is when we were hoping to do the test in the first place. I hope they have Tuesday open, bc Mon and Tues are the only days William has off this week.

| the tests turned out well, but the 24 hour urine showed that his kidneys work too well, so he has to get 2 more 24 hour urines to make sure that it is normal for him...So that he doesn't go into kidney failure after donating, and so that the kidney works ok for me too. So more waiting and testing and all.
