wow it is hard to be back at the office today after being away at the wedding for the weekend. For some reason i just can not get into it today. Been here since 8:30am and just do not feel that I have gotten anything done. going to lunch now with a friend and hopefully the afternoon will be more productive!

sorry, It has been a few days since I blog posted. Been a busy week. I leave today to go to Washington DC for another conference/convention. Should be a fun one thought and there will be a bunch of people I know there, but have not seen for about a year. Will also have a chance to stop by and see my brother and his family and my father and step mother, both who live in the area.
Driving the 4-5 hours today, so trying to head out early to beat rush hour traffic in DC tonight.

The convention yesterday (Friday) was really good and I got a ton of information at the exhibit hall. After that I went out for drinks and dinner with some potential business clients and we had about 10 drinks each, which was fun, but I am paying for it this morning. Today I go see my father and stepmom for lunch and then drive the 5 hours home. Should be a pretty uneventful day of driving after I finish lunch.
I am looking forward to watching the Final 4 basketball games tonight so I have to make it home in time for that!

Oh, man, Gin gives often gives me pretty bad hangover; however, I still drink it occasionally. I don't drink it straight, but whenever I have Martini, I just order the traditional Gin Martini. It's actually a nice summer drink, though a bit strong.

just made it home. A 4.5 hour driving trip took 7 hours because of traffic on 95. And to make things even more aggravating there was no reason for the traffic. No accidents, no construction, must people driving like idiots. So frustrating. But at least I am home now. Going to play with my son for a while

You made it home, that's all that matters. The little pooping machine must be starting to develop his personality now, and be getting big. He needs his own blog for dad to write until he can reach the keyboard himself.
I'm going to see my great nephew tomorrow, he is still in hospital. He was delivered early at 28 weeks and weighed just 1.3kg, but he is doing well now about 3 weeks old and just got to 1.4kg yesterday.

some sad news. One of my lizards (I had 2 for the past 7 years) died last night. Was pretty sad. Not like if a dog dies, but still pretty sad.
The other one is now alone in the tank and he looks .... sad.

My cat passed away some months ago (kind of), and ... for a long time, I didn't want to think about her; it was painful and sad ...

awww tvd  most likely not the same as loosing a dog or cat but still a loved member of your family. Are you going to get another so the reamaining one isn't lonely?

| thanks tweety. im not sure yet. i have to call the pet store and see how another lizard will do with the John Holmes (the remaining one). Those 2 lizards were together for 7 years, so i have to see how a new one will do with him first. :(

Well yesterday was an interesting day. work was fine and basically normal and then I picked up Cole from daycare, which also was fine. He smiled big and flirted with every woman there which was funny. Then my wife's mother came over to babysit for Cole while we went out for dinner and a movie. We went to see Blades of Glory (I posted my review), which was pretty average to bad. But we did have fun getting out for a few hours. It was 84 degrees here so we sat outside when eating and then walked a little after the movie. Good time.
When we got home our dog was just acting wild and would not go to sleep all night long. She just kept acting up and running around and barking for no reason...and generally just waking me up every 30 minutes, lol. so this morning I am SO TIRED and now have to head to work. I hope I dont fall asleep at my desk, haha. More later.
