A slow and lazy day today after a really busy day yesterday. Mainly spending time with the family today. We are going out for a late lunch right now (burgers, fries and a thick strawberry shake! Yummy.
Then watching NCAA basketball games the rest of the day and into the evening. I love March Madness!

I guess I am completely out of it, baring some miracle and Georgetown winning, who I picked to win it all. I hate being this far behind so early!!!! ahhhhh

Going to be a really busy day at work. Have to run around and return a truck we rented for an event this weekend and meet with our attorneys and accountant. I am a little upset because our other truck broke down and I have to get it towed and fixed. ahhhh. endless money being spend on equipment! All normal stuff, but just makes Mondays more hectic. Off to work now. Will try to type more later.

This is when I kind of wish that I had been to a school that has a strong basketball team like UCLA, UC Berkeley, University of Washington (Seattle), etc.

Our men's soccer team actually won the championship (NCAA Division I) last year; I'm actually a soccer (football) fan, b
ut when I think about NCAA, I think about basketball and (American) football ...

I went to UCONN (University of Connecticut) so most years (not this year)I have a lot to root for. This was a down year with a very very young team.
Hopefully next year.

See, that's great.  UCONN is really competitive in NCAA ...

We have been doing well the past 15 years - both the men and the women. Hopefully this year our women will carry the school to another title.

Only a short entry this morning. Have to run to a 7:30am breakfast meeting. I have to admit that I enjoy early meetings, but for some reason I am just tired this morning and moving really slow. Seem to be dragging. hopefully I will "pick up the pace in the next few hours, or this could be a long long day. we will see. more later.

I personally prefer meetings in the morning as well.  It's easier for me to start a day with a meeting and spend the rest of the day working on other things.

Well lots to do today. Have tomorrow off as we have to go to a wedding that is about 3 hours away. My wife is actually in the wedding so we have to go to the engagement party Friday night and then the wedding on Saturday afternoon/evening. Should be fun but we have to leave the baby with my mother in law again. This is 100% fine and she loves taking care of him, but we were just away a few weeks ago when we went to the convention in Las Vegas. We hate being away from him again. Oh well. the wedding should still be a great time with good friends.

The rehearsal dinner was really good, great food and a lot of fun. After we all went back to the hotel with a ridiculous amount of beer and played poker until after 2am. Unfortunately I lost early playing Texas Hold Em. I went all in on pocket Aces, the best hand your can have, but never got any other cards and lost to 3 sevens. I finally got cards, but could not complete the hand. Very aggravating! Been a lazy morning before the wedding so far. Some of the guys are out playing golf and we are heading out to hit the gym. The wedding starts at 6pm.

This will sound like a stupid question, but what is the idea of a 'rehearsal dinner'

well in theory, the main point of the rehersal the night before the wedding is that with the entire wedding party on both sides - they go through the entire ceremony, so everyone will know where they should be and how the ceremony will go. They did all of that on Friday and then everyone went to a dinner (the party) after. Historically the family of the groom will pay for this and the family of the bride pays for the wedding. While that is not always the way it is these days, it was the way this wedding went. We just got home, was a really nice event on a country club, with a wonderful party after. The band was awesome and the bar was open and flowing all night. good time. Going to bed, been a long few days. more tomorrow! :)
