| I like watching the show but the fact that there is no strategy to it makes it kind of a stupid show.

| my wife is addicted to the show, half the time the contestents are so stupid I'm routing for them to loose. Once in awhile a pretty entertaining contestent comes on and they loose and that's a shame. however, having stood in line for 8 hours for a 5 second audition, I can tell you that people are crazy, it looked like people from Let's make a Deal rather then for Deal or No Deal.

| Here's the latest update since my last post. OMG, this gal that was standing next to me for 8 hours in line got selected for the first line of auditions to be a contestant... She's asked me to be one of her Cheerers on stage. I'll keep you posted on how lame everything is, how they torture the contestants and how many false hopes are simply squished. Grilldog had the inside scoop... It's started already, they contacted this gal 4 weeks ago and said she was going to be on the show, then they sent her a package that said it's just a fake show/audition here in San Diego. However, they didn't give her a location or time, just a day. The poor gal was so panicked that she hadn't heard from anyone she had to go to a shrink! Two days ago she was notified of where to go and what time it was Tomorrow! How I wish I could sneak in a camcorder... Wait, I have one on my cell phone he he he...

Just in case anyone is following this saga, here's the next installment...
well, it was one long wait after another but the day is done. We sat around for hours and hours ( warned Grillpup but it's her favorite show so she came along). Lucky for us the group we were in were funny for the most part, but I seized the other person that I wanted to be teamed up with right away. You see, of the contestants 7 cheerleaders only 3 get picked (by the producers) to be on stage so not only are we trying to be hyper and animated to cheer the contestent on, we are trying to out do the other cheerers so we can get on stage. It's a dog eat dog out there and I'm the number one dog in town! So they pull sunshine, the contestent, in the audition room and we're left out side for about 20 minutes, then they bring us in and it's a mock game. First off the producers line us up, first the husband, then the hotty chick friend, good old Grilldog next and then some other friends that came along. They pretty much tossed it up in the air after Grilldog, can't blame them really. So now sunshine has to introduce us to the camera, husband, Didy and Gary, now who the heck is Gary, my name isn't Gary, so I yell my real name (let's just say George for the sake of any argument) at the same time Grillpup yells "GARY!!! IT"S GEORGE. Now Sunshine goes no Gary, you're Gary (now for the record, they never mentioned my last name at all so I could be any old body). After we go a around or two of this with Grillpup dying of laughter in the background, the producer goes, do you two actually, know each other??? I butt in front of sunshine (imagine) and say, uh, no, we met in the parking lot about 5 minutes ago, they said they needed a male in a blue shirt, so hey, I'm here! LOL.. Now the producer is holding back the laugher as sunshine struggles to say, we stood in line at the audition back around Easter time.
The producer laughing, Grillpup in tears, the rest of the cheer leaders are confused (they thought my name was gary too wtf) the producer says, that's great you all met in line have you seen each other since, Sunshine says NO!!! What? I say (which is true) and grillpup is echoing this in the background, you've been to our house twice! we know each other, I'm Grilldog!!! Now sunshine shsssss is me (to be quite) wtf? the producer is shouting,. I LOVE IT and Sunshine goes and introduces the rest of the group, with a lot less commotion.
Next we do a fake deal or no deal situation, it was a blast, (obviously the producer liked the husband, Didy and me (which is why we were in the forefront of the camera, the other group sort of kept trying to get in front of me. I didn't want to push them back especially on TV! So I played it cool LOL... of course it could have just been the excitement of the day (no one upstages grilldog woof). At the end of the fake game, sunshine made a deal with the banker for 275,000 (fake money) and she won since her case had like 25 dollars or something in it, I forget.
Now they make it really stressful, the producer says, I don't like being the bad guy and I have to do this, there are thousands of people that try out and make it to this round and we have to have a way to thin them out. I've got two cases here, one says yes and the other says no. I really want YOU to be on the show, I'd like to give your audition tape to the executive producers right now however, I can't. You have a choice. If you pick yes, I will, if you pick know, the tape goes on the shelf for a year. That's the rule.
Well Sunshine sucked in her gut and gave a good non self centered reply, she's come this far and that's pretty exciting for her! So the producer narrows the focus and says, ok, make a choice!!! you could feel the tension, she picks number 1 and it was! woo hoo!!!
So now, we wait to see if the exec producer wants us there or not and even then I don't know if I'll be one of the supporters that the producers choose, and even then, we don't know if we make it to the actual show, we'll be one of the ones they pick...
And that's how it went.

| I just can't stand the show PERIOD, my wife loves the show and is dieing to be on it but is camera shy, so being the loyal husband I stood in line for 8 hours in the hot sun, wasn't selected, the gal next to me was, so then I go to this audtion with her, who doesn't even know my name, wait another 2 and half hours and if selected will go to LA for the show. The only reason I'm doing this is for the Media coverage for my TV show that I host here in San Diego. Otherwise, I wouldn't do this since it has absolutly no value with me and to be a contestent on the show, all you have to do is be greedy and totally nuts

| I haven't been watching it much, but I did notice a few episodes had it where they were TRYING to give away a million dollars, they had like 8 cases with a million and they STILL didn't get a million.

| i watch this show when i can, and i like it for the most part. I saw a few of the episodes where they increased the cases of a million and its sad that they still didnt win the million...but i still like it
