One of the few new TV series of the 2001-2002 season to earn almost unanimously good reviews, the weekly NBC comedy drama Scrubs was created by Bill Lawrence, late of Spin City. The series offers a skewered view of life in a big-city hospital, as seen through the eyes of a group of interns fresh out of medical school. Zach Braff heads the cast as J.D. Dorian, who in addition to deflecting the patronizing comments of the "established" doctors and the tongue-clucking of the more experienced nurses, also has to deal with the social situations brought about by two fellow interns: his best friend Chris Turk (Donald Faison) and the competitive yet insecure Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke). Also on hand is the ever-reliable John C. McGinley as gimlet-eyed Dr. Perry Cox, who despite his huffing and puffing genuinely cares about the greenhorn interns placed in his charge, and Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes), a good-hearted nurse who caught the eye of Turk.
I've been a long time viewer of Scrubs. There's just something about this show that even during my moments of depression, it has been able to conjure up laughter. The recent musical episode still has me singing and humming the silly songs written by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx. I'm a little concerned about the future of the show. Zach Braff's contract is up at the end of this season. He made the comment that he doesn't think they're going to renew his contract. Whether or not he was joking is beyond me but I sincerely hope he was.
Have a favorite episode? Or a favorite moment? Who's your favorite character? Why is that person your favorite? Let's discuss!!

| I watched this show all the time when it first came on and then I started getting busy on the nights it was on, I plan on buying the DVD's and I watch the reruns at night.

| Love it... it's like what goes on at a hospital when no one's in surgery and stuff. Brings the realistic things that you may see at a hospital and puts a funny twist on it.

Scrubs is pretty cool. I also liked Garden State, which was directed by Zach Braff, and not just because it had Natalie Portman in it

| I watch this quite a bit, some of his thought that are highly unrealistic and absurd are just so funny.

| I've just watched Scrubs recently and it immediately became one of my favorite television series. It's simply hilarious to see what the outcome of some episodes turn out to be which most of the time satisfies me. The characters are great along with the character developments.

| I don't really understand why people like this show so much. I have watched several episodes and have not laughed once.

No worries, not every person enjoys sarcasm. Dr. Perry Cox uses sarcasm in his jokes which in my opinion, I think it's hilarious. The other cast members do things that are out of the ordinary which gives me a chuckle here and there.

| Took me awhile to start watching this show cause I thought it would be stupid...but I love catching a show now and then, especially when I want to laugh. I would say that 9 of 10 shows are winners!

| Anyone watching currently? Any comments on this season? My wife and I discovered Scrubs while I was (ironically) in the hospital last winter, then we got DVR and recorded every episode that we could and we are avid fans... seems this is the final season.

| If you have watched all seasons they constantly refer back to other episodes and we catch something new every single time on them. Mighty Kites!
