Lots and lots...and lots of promotion for this show. On at 9pm and opposite the new Private Practice on ABC. Will be interesting to see which show wins, or gets moved to a different day first.

The reviews I read today about this show were DISMAL, but I have hopes for it and want it to be good. i am going to give it a chance!

I am watching it now and so far it seems good to me. The effects seem better than the 70's too. ha ha

It looks like "StarBuck" is the enemy tonight.

Well I have the time shift package so I can watch Private Practice at 9. I was able to watch Criminal Minds at 4 so  I have my viewing tonight covered. :)

I have just finished it. It seems a little scattered for the first show. A bunch of attractive women and potential, but still a ton of questions after the first show, which is not bad, as long as they start explaining things in the first few shows.
Not sure how it will do against Private Practice and the other shows at the same time slot.

Is that guy played by Miguel Ferrer suppose to be Oscar Goldman? I am sort of confused as I know Oscar was on 6 million dollar man but was he on Bionic Women? For some reason I think he was.

Apparently watching the morning news this show did quite well, so I went to the Futon Critic and found this:

September 27, 2007 - The series premieres of "Bionic Woman" and "Life" won their respective time periods in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, as the two debuting Universal Media Studios dramas propelled NBC to a 37 percent gain in the demo and 49 growth in total viewers versus the opening Wednesday night of last season, according to preliminary "fast affiliate-based" "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Last night at 9 p.m. ET, the debut of "Bionic Woman" (5.5 rating, 14 share in adults 18-49, 13.6 million viewers overall) was the #1 telecast of the night in adults 18-49, winning its highly competitive time period versus the series premiere of ABC's "Private Practice," the season premiere of CBS' "Criminal Minds" and week two of Fox's "Kitchen Nightmares." "Bionic Woman" also won its slot in adults 25-54 and all key adult male demos.

"Bionic Woman" is NBC's highest-rated program in this time period in nearly three years, excluding Olympics (since a special "Apprentice" on September 29, 2004). This marks NBC's highest-rated Wednesday new series premiere among adults 18-49 since "The West Wing" on September 22, 1999. It's also the top-rated new series premiere to date for the 2007-08 television season.

"Bionic Woman" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 112 percent. The premiere telecast increased from half-hour to half-hour in both 18-49 and total viewers. Its 0.4 of a rating point increase in adults 18-49 (to a 5.7 from a 5.3) is the most growth of any program in the hour

I watched it last night, and it wasnt half bad. It's no Chuck, but I think it may do well, if the writers keep people interested in it.

yea, it rated well, but if you read that closely you will see that it ALMOST came in 3rd in the time slot and last of the big shows, which would be bad. Hopefully it will BUILD and the ratings will go up.

I am not sure how the ratings work but don't certain 'genre age groups' mean more than overall ratings?

It won all the key adult male demo's which sort of surprised me. Especially since it was up against Private Practice and Criminal Minds.

But this is only one week so wait a few weeks and see what happens I guess.

I hope it lasts as I loved the 70's version.

Episode 2 was kind of blah (except her working out scene, WOW). I hope they start getting to the action soon. I get they are trying to build the characters and introduce the new ones, but its moving kind of slow.
