I never knew they were going to remake this show until Istarted seeing previews for it. If memory serves me right Feb 17th is when it premiers.

The car looks pretty cool though. I used to really love this show when I was little. The original that is.

Mike Traceur a bitter former Army Ranger and failed race car driver, just got a new lease on life, neither he cares for or wants this chance to make up for his past failings. FLAG wants a new driver, but he is hesitant to join this mysterious group and doubts this super car or he can make a difference. He's got problems, he's in debt and people want to kill him. The choice is all too obvious for him and the Knight Industries Three Thousand (K.I.T.T).

From IMDB

I guess it will  have similar supporting charactors as the first one. I wonder if they will still use the 18 wheeler as the shop?

I read that David Hasselhoff is being approached to appear as Michael Knight. I hope he agrees. It would be fun to see him again in Knight Rider after so many years. :-ww

Val Kilmer to voice KITT
He replaces Will Arnett in NBC's 'Knight Rider'

Interesting choice.

Apparently this is a sequel not a remake of the 80's show, that is what the article goes on to say. Plus the car is a Ford Mustang.

We may all have fond memories of the original - but let's face it... it was a bit cr*p really lol!

I thought it was a pretty good show for the first 2 hours. I think many people forget that the original show was a little campy and a lot lower scale crimes. this is now a global plot and much more involved then the original show IMO.

Ok... I'll rock the boat now. I've never seen such a pile of lame actors all in one place. That girl was more wooden than the Black Forest!
I hated it from start to finish, and the only highlight was the special effects on KITT. Old Val Kilmer sounded like he was reading off the back of a toothpaste tube. Yes I know he's supposed to be emotionless - but jeez!
I thought it was even cheesier than the original... and I certainly won't be looking out for it again.

PS: Hubby liked it a lot - but then he's a man - and has no taste.
(Not that being a man means you have no taste of course!) LOL
