This series is about wars Russia fought in the 20th century. Good series. This particular episode is about Hitler's invasion of Russia / Soviet Union. What's kind of intriguing is that Stalin apparently didn't know much about war tactics, or so does the history tell. Yet, he insisted on sending troops to the frontline even if they were totally ill-equipped. This resulted in a huge number of causalities, BUT this also delayed Hitler's move to the capital, Moscow. In fact, Hitler failed to reach there BEFORE the harsh Russian winter. And this was the beginning of the end. So, maybe Stalin knew what he was doing ...? I wonder.
