This is a great show to watch. They take people who are addicted to various horrible things and tell them they are on a documentary about addiction, where they spill their secrets, rituals and sometimes even reasons for using their drug of choice, then the family and an intervention specialist conduct the actual intervention - and then take them out of their house and to a rehab facility usually out of state.
I'm not usually a fan of "Reality TV" but there is something about this show that has a noble purpose in that they are trying to help families that have an addict, get help for their loved one. Check out A&E as it airs on various times of day - Its something you might want to check out if you have the time.

I agree. they shop, they do drugs, they throw up to diet - whatever it is, they do to much of it, they fight a lot, then cry a lot, then get help, or dont get help and cry and fight some more. regardless of the "vice" it seems to be a similar process each time to get to the eventual end....

I find it tough to watch sometimes, especially when the addicted person
refuses the help and the family is sitting there in tears, man this
is rough stuff. The ones that do succeed and they track after a few
months are really great as it shows there is hope out there for
anyone that is willing to accept it.

| It is rough to watch but I find it interesting, even though it can be repetitive... Its one reality show that actually has a good purpose.

| I know they're real addicts, but I always wondered if they are doing real drugs on camera. It seems like they could end up getting charged with possession with the video as evidence.
