Is anyone besides me hooked on this show? We finally caught up to the current season and boy let me tell you that the next two weeks until the season premiere airs will be torture!

Jack Bauer has left us watching him sail off beaten, and broken on a slow boat to China. Literally.

Jack Bauer owns us!

this show is totally addictive, totally suspense filled and the cliffhanger it leaves after each episode is sheer torture!

Jack Bauer owns us.

Hey Twitchy! I moved this to the FOX forum (from HBO).

I never really have gotten into this show, not for any negative reasons, just always watching something else. My entire family is obsessed with it. I think I am going to rent the first seasons and catch up also!

Ok, Wayne Palmer has been around the block with Jack Bauer MORE than a time or two. WTF?! Why does he act like he can't trust his instincts? Further proof that a lobotomy is performed after the presidential inaguration? :P

Jack Bauer is back!

Oh My God! This was one roller coaster ride tonight! Thank goodness tomorrow is two more episodes because I am like a heroin junkie needing a fix already and the show isn't over half an hour yet!

Yes, Jack was thrown under the bus by our wonderful government in and exchange to deliver him so he can give his life to save the country.

Our country is under attack and President Palmer's younger brother is now the President.

Jack was kidnapped for 20 months in a Chinese jail and tortured all this time. You should see the scars on him!

So our government needs to stop the constant suicide bombings going on across the nation and they negotiated a deal with the Chinese to get Jack back so he can then be delivered to these terrorists in an eye for an eye deal.

Turns out the terrorist they suspect  ~ with great confidence I may add ~ is heading these attacks is not here for attacking us at all but is here to stop them. He has renounced his ways and wants to help. But the guy who is arranging the deal with our gov to bring jack for a swap to kill jack for this terrorist is the REAL guy behind the killings and bombings. Jack finds this out and by a stroke of luck manages to whing an escape!

He saves this guy from our gov's attack in the trade off and now is on the loose tracking the real terrorist down - with the help of the guy that was originally targeted!

Monday's premiere ~ I now realize that watching this as the season goes on is a huge mistake. I can't breathe once the show has ended. The cliffhanger that left me breathless is going to KILL ME until next week.
I was better off skipping the season like we do and wait till it's out on DVD and rent it all and have one big 24 marathon. And the commercial breaks! OMG just kill me now!

So Jack Bauer has escaped. He is working with the now terrorist gone good guy.

they are to track down the REAL guy behind the bombings who is doing all this just to get one guy out of prison. This is the nuke terrorist.

Turns out that Jack's friend Curtis has a huge problem with having Asad on the CTU team on this assignment. Curtis won't tell Jack why and what is the past between them.

Jack has Chloe (god I love that girl!) do a check on Curtis and if there is any connection to him and Asad. Turns out there is! Asad is the equivalent to Al Zarqawi in Iraq.....personally beheaded two of Curtis' men in Desert Storm. Curtis has a grudge that he can't let go.

So Jack finds Fayed with Asad's help. Asad is given a presidential pardon deal with some strings attached, Curtis don't like this one bit! But since they found Asad, and all the bullshit is over, Jack sends off Asad to be escorted back to CTU. Curtis intercepts this escort and wants to finish off his grudge. This forces Jack to do what he so never ever wants to do! Shoot Curtis dead. His best friend.

So  now Jack is distraught, freaking out distraught and the president calls him and wants even MORE of the guy! For Christ's sake! He hasn't had time to shower after being in a Chinese torture camp for 20 months, been tortured by Arab fiends and had just shot his friend.

He tells the President that he is done. He's out of the 'game' and just doesn't have it in him anymore to do this!
President Palmer ll is begging, cajoling and pleading. Jack still wants out.... then.....

Then......suddenly a nuke goes off! and the show ends there.....

Can someone tell me how President Palmer l's brother got to be president? I mean what on earth did the people see in him other than hope that he was like his brother?

He's weak, weak minded and a whimp! That was proven when last season he didnt' have the guts to shoot when needed. Complained a bgit along the way with Jack and stuff.

Marine my ass. I don't know any marine who was that whimpy!

I know that was a big leap. We wondered if we missed a season somewhere, lol. He is not his brother and that weasel that works with him is just that, a weasel.

OOOH one hour to 24! lol

I don't trust the guy who is Palmer's aide in the least! I think he has his own agenda and realizes how genuinely gullible, stupid and lacking of sense Palmer is and is taking advantage of it!

So let's see what tonight brings! I'm so excited! We skipped making a proper dinner and got a mess of 'finger food' to pop in the oven so we can eat on snack tables and watch the show!

OMG I totally was thrown off by that one!

Did you know that was Jack's brother in the last season with the gas bombs? I didn't.

I was watching and watching and it took a few mins before I realized who it was and where I see him again.

I also find it amazing that Jack is in such good physical condition considering he just spent 22 months in a Chinese jail and hasn't even had time to shower! I mean that guy STABBED him when he was tied to that chair before he escaped!

Now, what's this business with the brother's wife? was something established in earlier seasons about this? I forget.

OH and how many nuclear bomb blasts will this guy live through? Remember the one that went off in the desert a couple seasons ago?

I can't wait till Monday now!

This is my favourite show too and I don't know how I live the year out waiting for the next season.

Jack just has to be one of the most dedicated guys I know - some of the scrapes he gets into and he still keeps coming back for more.

How could he possibly have just a toad for a brother - and now look what's happened. Jack and dad are held at gun point and taken away by that little toad.

I totally agree about Tom in the president's office too - watch out for him, he's got to be working to a different agenda to everyone else.
