Did you see that girl who put some money at the bottom of a stockpot full of liquid waste just to see the other kids go after it?

I finally got the chance to watch it and I must say those kids are really awesome, especially DK....I can't believe at such a young age, there's a level of maturity in there....Taylor is such a nuisance and Guylan is so cute! :) The show is lovely! I'm kinda hooked to it right now...

The show is kind of amazing to me, it's a microcosm of the adult world. I thought I'd see kids making real progress and acting like adults should.

But actually they tend to gravitate towards the exact same foibles and follies that we have. I don't know why I'm surprised.

I really feel sorry for Taylor. When she grows up she'll have to deal with everyone in the entire country knowing she was a spoiled rotten little brat when she was young.

Let's hope this experience changes her.

It's interesting to watch how the kids, left to their own devices, will sometimes make mature, sensible decisions but other times exhibit real Lord of the Flies behavior.

I don't know what Taylor's home life is like but I'm guessing her parents indulge her too much. Most people in a frontier environment where conditions are harsh figure out pretty quickly that everyone needs to do their fair share or they might not get to eat... but Taylor hasn't suffered much in the way of consequences yet.

I'm really impressed by some of the other kids, like Lauren.

No kidding! I was actually kind of hopng the kids would follow through with their threat to keep her mail from her. But of course, she just would have bailed out anyway.

Certainly. Lauren acts more mature than most of the adults I know.:)

I think its a nice way to show that when kids have to they will get together and do things to change places. Its nice seeing the council change. I think its going to help the yellow and blue leaders realize there are times to be imature and times where they need to act mature...

Well, I'll give Taylor this much... that was a pretty daunting pile of dishes she washed this week. I'm not sure I would have given her access to the arcade after only one day of honest work though; I think that decision will come back to haunt them. How much time is left anyway?

Yep! proving that she is as capable as anyone else when she wants to be. I kind of got the feeling that she was doing it just to be a "martyr" though.

lol! Yeah, the lesson they taught her: "No matter how bad you mess up, just work for a little while and we'll all forgive you."

How much time is left anyway?

I believe there's eight days left, or eight shows.

Did you see the preview? Something weird happened when they appointed that girl sheriff. I think she went power-mad!

in the previews for next week's show they said the gold star award would be doubled in size, and showed the kids fighting over it. I think there are only one or two episodes left now.

Flash: this just in! Next week's show is the finale! It'll probably be a two-hour show. I thought Laurel did a great job as sherrif this week while the older kids from the council was out hiking around. As a matter of fact, the town seemed to run better.

Nice job goes to the kids for shutting down their arcade because it was taking up too much time, too.

I kinda of wished they had taken the monument, though.

"Bonanza City" is near my house. I could have gone over there and seen it.

Hey Saint, You live near Lake Tahoe? I remember driving by Bonanza City..on the way to the airport. Is this one in the same? I love the Lake Tahoe area...lucky you.

I don't watch this show, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did without being cancelled.

I have a feeling they'll be leaving the monument there when filming is over anyway. It was already made and big rocks like that are hard to move around :)
