Big time! "Jericho" was as cool as "Heroes" but way easier to follow!
I really miss this show. We need to start an e-mail campaign or it might go the way of Star Trek!

They were supposed to have 7 episodes in the can as a mid season replacement for any who that tanks -
I'm not sure if they have them written or they are blocked by the writers strike - I'm just dying to know what happens... Its a great show - and when they were going to cancel it there was a huge campaign where people mailed in peanuts to CBS and such (reference to Gerald McRaney's rejection of the surrender demand which is an homage to the battling bastards of Bastogne.) but anyway - I can't wait for the show to come back.

Its back!
Just last week a new episode was aired. Not to spoil but the Marines arrive to end the battle, they learn that 28 states have formed a new union west of the Mississippi. They look like they are really going to expand beyond the borders of Jericho and this might get pretty exciting...

| good show but i think this season they are trying to do too much too soon, first the attempt of the secret files, then the new president of the allied states of america, now the potential of some kind of deadly disease, like nuclear fallout doesn't exist

| Well they only have 7 episodes so I guess they are moving things along faster than normal. I do wonder how the ratings are and if there is a chance for a third season? Last edited on Wed Feb 27th, 2008 06:24 am by Mr.Spock

"The first two episodes of the 2008 season received the lowest ratings to date for the series.[36] SyFy Portal has stated that CBS is gearing up to air a series finale episode on March 25. According to SyFy's source, two endings were shot for that episode. One involved a cliffhanger leading in to a third season, while the other would wrap up the series and provide closure for fans who had worked to secure the series' return. "There are a lot of people here who really care about what happens to Jericho, and I think we all wanted to see it succeed," the source, who asked not to be identified, said. "Numbers are numbers, and [CBS] had to do what [CBS] had to do."[37]"

Even though CBS said when it showed preview clips for this week that said "Season Finale" it actually is the "Series Finale".
I thought it would of done better with all the uproar and CBS bringing it back, but I guess not.
Too bad i thought it was a great show and great potential.
TV's Jericho is scrapped for good

it never had the big following, which really hurt it. It just never was a mass population hit. It had a core group of fans who fought to bring it back, but could not keep it going.
Oh well. To bad.

That was not a bad finale. Sort of rushed and a two hour finale would of been good but oh well.
I don't think 'Jericho' really is that far from reality. It could easily happen.

| its a dam shame that CBS killed this show, I can not imagine what other better options it has. perhaps if they didnt jerk the show and its original fan base around with mid season breaks and bad time slots, the following would have increased over time. i for one am very pissed off about this show being cancelled, and hope that FX or SciFi would consider picking it up and going forward, minus this rushed ending.

There is still a lot to work with. The upcoming 'Civil War' would be an interesting storyline in my books.
Personally I thought this season was a lot better than the last one.
I thought it was on of the better shows on TV. I thought the addition of the "Major" was a good move.
It seems "Reality TV" is all the rage these days and so much so called "Reality YV" in my books is meaningless crapola...

i do not mind reality tv, some of it is good drama, i just wonder what network execs look for when it comes to a particular time slot..this show got dicked around from the beginning..why bother even exposing people to a show if your not going to back it up..what do they have in the pipeline of shows that they feel will do much better....
i would love for someone who has the time and resources to monitor the ratings for the time slot going forward to see how screwy CBS is

I would think Sci Fi or USA could pick it up for 13 episode seasons and as long as they had it on a regular day and time it should do ok.
Shows like the Dead Zone, 4400 etc before they were cancelled only had 13 episode seasons too.
