| I remembered this show a few years ago; it was extremely interesting and intriguing to see what the contestants would do. I really enjoyed it and it was simply fun to watch in general. Bob Barker seemed to be a good host so I hope that CBS would be able to find an adequate host also.

s Drew the New Bob? A CBS rep was still mum Tuesday about who will replace Bob Barker on The Price Is Right -- and would not even say if the network will announce it during its Television Critics Association events today and Thursday.
But New York Daily News columnists Rush & Malloy think that there could be some more Northeast Ohio flavor to the show. ``We hear Drew Carey is the top choice at CBS... now that Rosie O'Donnell is out of the running,'' they wrote recently. ``The offer to Carey is said to be contingent on him doing a full-episode run-through -- and on the success of the Carey-hosted Power of 10,'' a game show premiering Aug. 7.

More Price. Even without Carey, there's some Buckeye in Price thanks to announcer Rich Fields, who was born in Bay Village and lived in Avon until he was 16.
And he recently told TV Week why O'Donnell didn't end up with the Price gig. ``Fields claimed O'Donnell also wanted to reduce the number of episodes shot per week down to four and spend more time chatting with contestants instead of focusing on the games, which would have slowed the pace of the show,'' TV week reported.
``CBS met with her for one lunch, she wanted to make all those changes, and that was all they needed to hear,'' Fields said.

| I think the Price is Right should probably just end. The show will never be the same without Bob Barker.

| I actually think that Drew Carey is a good choice. He is a strange man, who will be perfect for the game show. he could probably do it for the next 30 years or more and have the best long term gig there is.

| My fiance told me that Bob Barker died... :( I thought he was just retiring from the show?? He also said that Drew Carey is the one taking over the show. That's better than Rosie, but I too think that it should just end with Bob.

Bob Barker was on entertainment tonight, tonight, yeah Drew Carey is
the replacement, he's thrilled appreantly, he will host "the price is right" and
"Power of 10"

| I personally don't care much for Drew Carey, but he doesn't stop me from enjoying "Who's line is it anyway." I don't tend to care for his skits when he performs though, so who knows if his type of comedy will work on TPIR. Since I don't watch the show anymore, I guess it doesn't really matter though!
