Heroes IS the best new show of the season. Hands down Heros is this years "Lost". Huge cast with the best story line. Each week we follow the lives of regular people who suddenly find out they have new and extrodinary powers. What I like about the show is that many of the people don't know how to handle their new powers and some take advantage of them for good and evil. It is very real in the way it shows people and their daily lives dealing with their new abilities.
This show has been the breakout hit of the year and I never miss a show.
My favorite character is NIKI SANDERS, who is played by Ali larter. With her powers she is both good and bad and is currently really conflicted about how she should be using her powers.
------------
From NBC's website about the show -
From creator/writer Tim Kring (NBC's "Crossing Jordan") comes "Heroes," an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. As a total eclipse casts its shadow across the globe, a genetics professor (Sendhil Ramamurthy, "Blind Guy Driving") in India is led by father's disappearance to uncover a secret theory -- there are people with super powers living among us. A young dreamer (Milo Ventimiglia, "Gilmore Girls") tries to convince his politician brother (Adrian Pasdar, "Judging Amy") that he can fly. A high school cheerleader (Hayden Panettiere, "Ice Princess") learns that she is totally indestructible. A Las Vegas stripper (Ali Larter, "Final Destination"), struggling to make ends meet to support her young son (Noah Gray-Cabey, "My Wife & Kids"), discovers that her mirror image has a secret. A fugitive from justice (Leonard Roberts, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") continues to baffle authorities who twice have been unable to contain him. A gifted artist (Santiago Cabrera, "Empire"), whose drug addiction is destroying his life and relationship with his girlfriend (Tawny Cypress, NBC's "Third Watch"), can paint the future. A down-on-his-luck Los Angeles beat cop (Greg Grunberg, "Alias") can hear people's thoughts, which puts him on the trail of an elusive serial killer. In Japan, a young man (Masi Oka, NBC's "Scrubs") develops a way to stop time through sheer will power. Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world…
Joining Kring as executive producer are Dennis Hammer (NBC's "Crossing Jordan") and Allan Arkush (NBC's "Crossing Jordan"). David Semel ("House") executive-produced and directed the pilot. The drama is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio

Great show tonight. They are really setting up the rest of the season.
I think that Heroes is the most complex show on TV. And I am serious. There are more plots going on at the same time, all somehow intertwined, or going to be intertwined eventually. Kind of like Lost, just without the endless flashbacks. And they have really done a good job keeping the show in the "comic book" feel.
Tonights show was excellent. There were some brief glimpses of some new characters and they are setting up the "list" which may have many many more people with powers on it.
This week gave us a glimpse of some interesting upcoming stuff. What is the kids powers? We knew he has some power, especially with 2 parents with powers. His mom is now in jail and the 2 personalities are completely at war with each other and pretty much coming out all the time now.
What is going to happen once Hiro gets the sword?
What secrets can the invisible man give us about the heroes?
What new secrets can the painter reveal, if any?
The show just keeps getting better and better. It is can't miss, or at least a must DVR if you are watching 24.

this show just keeps getting better and better.
Peter meets the invisible man and keeps following him asking him to teach him about his powers. He can see him and when he is with him he gets his powers and is also invisible.
Clair is searching for her parents and snooping around with Zach for his mother. The Hatian is really becoming a more interesting character and he even talks to Claire and gives her some info, which he is obviously not supposed to be doing.
Hiro is captured by a group of people in a van who offer him and Ando a first class ticket home, which he turns down and demands to talk to "the boss". The boss turns out to be his father, played by Star Trek's George Take.
Matt gets suspended for 6 months for his wild story and actions that in his superiors eyes are strange and irrational. But he and his wife seem to connect again and are going to have a baby.
Niki is in a mental hospital. Her husband who can walk through walls comes to visit and says he is going to get her out of there and that they need her. As it turns out their son Michael has some powers also and he can take money out of the ATM. He seems to have some control over the computers. He withdraws A LOT of money and tells his dad that he also "has a secret". Niki refuses to allow the doctor to meet "Jessica". The doctor threatens to not let her see her son for a long time if she does not let her meet Jessica. Big mistake, but I guess we will see this next week.
Our favorite cheerleader Claire then makes some calls and tracks down her mom on the phone, who seems to be able to make things burn with her fingers.
Claires fake dad Mr Bennet returns to the office to find that Sylar has faked his death and is alive and killed the doctor. The show ends with him asking how "Clair is". He is evil and very powerful.
Can NOT WAIT until next week's show!

This show is by far my favorite show ever! I have seen every episode and have downloaded every episode I can to keep a collections. I can't wait to see how it will keep us hanging on our edge of the seats.
I don't see how they could make it more than a few seasons or what not but I guess we will see.
What's your favorite "hero" power on the show? I would have to say mine would be Clair's.

| Me oh my, how the story gets twisted more with every episode. This show is getting intense and rather freaky. Petrelli is Claire's father... WTF!

| I guessed that one of the current characters had to be her father. It just fit to perfectly. I like her mom's power with the fire. Sylar is just so powerful and I am still amazed that the Hatian can control his mind at all. Was a good show tonight and now Jessica is out and in control. going to be very interesting.

| I bet Peter has to defeat Sylar. He seems to be the only one that will be able to do it if he can learn to control others powers. I suppose we will see but dammit, this show has got me hooked... it's almost pathetic. I even signed up for a heroes forum... wow shoot me now.

We will be getting Heroes in the UK - starts Monday 19th February on SciFi Channel.
I saw one or maybe two episodes of this last September when I was over in Arizona and really enjoyed it. Can't wait for it to start here and I am pleased to say it is not up against anything else that I currently watch.

Here is my theory:
Have you noticed that Claire's dad has never been called by his first name? In last weeks episode, the wife was about to say it and got cut off. When they showed his license and name, it didn't have a first name. It only had his last name: bennett.
Could he possibly be Linderman? Everyone has assumed Linderman to be a last name. I mean this name has been mentioned tons but we haven't seen him once??? I doubt this. I'm sure we've seen him a lot, even if it isn't Claire's dad.
But the recent events of us finding out Nathan is Claire's father and Linderman having big ties with the Petrelli family and all, it would just make sense to me and add even more twist to the plot.

| I'm about to watch my first episode of this tonight. Chanel 4 an 8pm I think. I have been out of the TV scene for a good year or two and didn't even know about this. The big thing here is that I am a giant superhero fan - used to collect comics, design and create my own characters, and love all the movies that come out about them!

this weeks show was STRONG and it is getting better and better. the heroes are starting to come together and fight or work together, which is great. Sylar is scarier and scarier and now has found a way to find the other heroes, kill them one by one and take their powers. He is super evil. Nothing with Peter this week and Nikki is completely out of control now, killing and enjoying it. Clair finds out who her father is but she does not talk to him. Her mother (who can start fire with her hands) was just out for the money.
Great show this week. Did you see it Frank?
