I love Smallville. Strange, because I never got into Superman that much. But anyways, my kids and husband watch it every Thursday night. This shows the strugles Clark Kent went thru growing up and discovering his powers and his love afair with Lana Lang. Lois is on there too now, but not in love with her yet. They just recently introduced Jimmy Olsen.
I hate that they made us love Lex Luther before making us hate him.

I love to hate smallville. Granted it's not a horrible show, it's decent entertainment but I can't get over the fact that there is no continuity, it's become the Lana show more than a show about superman, and I despise what they've done to lex.
He's so whipped now after being with Lana it's hard to tell that he's supposed to be the evil mastermind. They're finally making him a little more evil now, but really, it's about freakin time. I'm quite happy that he's lying to Lana and apparently their unborn child is a soul-less, mutant experiment. That almost makes up for the fact that he's been such a whipped puppy the past few seasons.
Anyway, the only reasons I watch is for Chloe and Lex. (the past two seasons it's only been for Chloe since I hated what they've done to Lex's carachter up to this point.)
So yeah, I watch it, but that doesn't mean I like it, ya know?

| I love love love Smallville! I started watching it when Chloe discovered Clark's secret and I've been addicted ever since (I found the previous seasons kind of boring.) I'm getting a little sick of Lex always lying to Lana, but now Lana can't even leave him because Lionel THREATENED her. I hope Clark finds out, haha.

This is a show I love to hate as well. I dig Superman but get annoyed how Smallville has changed the Superman Mytho's so much.
Plus in this version, everyone and their dog will know Clark is Superman.

That was interesting season finale although slow at times.
Bizarro is created. Interesting. I guess Clark will just send him back to the phantom zone somehow.
Bizarro can fly so surely Clark can by now.
I do not believe Lana is dead, they would not kill a character off that is still very much alive in Clarks/Supermans future.
I think she was picked up or grabbed by that truck.
I knew Clark's future wife would not be killed either, I wonder if Chloe is really dead or not?
Sure seems t be an awful lot of Kryptonite around Smallville.
It was nice to see J'onn J'onzz back, I hope he is around more next season. That is the first however I ever heard he knew Kal-El's father, let alone work for him.

| I used to really enjoy watching Smallville but I started to stray away from the series. I'm not completely sure what made me do this but it was a lot different from the first few seasons which got me hooked on it.

Smallville is one of my favorite shows, even with its faults...and there's tons of them. What is with Lois? Do any of you even like the actress that portrays her? Lois is supposed to be younger than Clark, and they don't even meet until he moves to Metropolis to work at the Daily Planet. Now she's older and lives in Smallville? I guess any excuse to introduce her to the show!
And I used to dislike Chloe. I thought all she did was whine, but she has grown into the shows' strongest character. I am looking forward to finding out what her mutant power is. That was a nice twist and does explain a lot! I'm looking forward to the next season!!

I hope not.
The thing is. In the DC Comic Universe Superman was the first Hero but yet we have seen others. Like why are they using the Flash from the future and not the first one?
Why was Mister Mxyzptlk a human? In every incarnation of Superman he is an imp from the 5th dimension.
But I think everyone from Smallville will know who Superman really is once Clark becomes him.
Metropolis has always been on the east coast in Deleware actually according to DC and was such in Superman Returns but New York filled in as Metropolis in the 79 movie. But nevertheless it was never in Kansas.

Oh wow! Supergirl will be on the show too? And it seems she'll be the same age as Clark as well! *sigh*...I guess the show just wants to inundate the show with all the characters, no matter how much younger than Clark they're supposed to be! LOL...I just hope she's less irritating than Lois!

I do not think Bizarro is dead. Supergirl? like whats up with that? I wonder what version they will use or come up with a new one?
In the comics Superman was the first, before Batman, before Wonder Women, before any other hero.
I wonder if we will ever see J'onn J'onzz read minds or shape shift or see him in his natural form? I am glad he is on the show as I do like the 'Martian Manhunter'.
When Clark listened for Chloe, why did he not listen for Lana? Superman hears everything and Clark is all but Superman in this show except for the flying bit.
I like the Lois/Clark interaction and in a way it is funny they do not know how close they will become in the future.
The part where Clark used his heat vision to evaporate the water from the burst dam (Stave River Dam actually as I have fished their many times) was great. Too bad they did not have the effects technology for that in the first Superman movie. ;)
I wonder if we will see Superman near the end of this season or will there be a season 8? He seems oh so close now to becoming Superman.
Overall I thought it was a great episode and look forward to his interaction with Kara Zor - El next week. (Supergirl).
