Based upon the format of the Japanese cult sensation, Iron Chef America carries on the legend of Kitchen Stadium and the famed "secret ingredient." Each week, world-class chefs battle the legendary Iron Chefs of America: Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, Masaharu Morimoto and Cat Cora. Alton Brown serves as the Commentator and Mark Dacascos is the Chairman.link

I really like this show, better than the reg Iron Chef. It's very fun to watch, and I can actually understand what the people are saying! :-ww Cat Cora is my fav Iron Chef. I love her Southern accent, and she cooks such elegant-looking foods. She is truley a Southern Bell, and an inspiration to me. :) Sometimes the chefs that come in to battle the iron chefs win, and that is really neat.

What sucks is they showed a behind the scenes thing of this show, and it's kind of disappointing. They actually get to see the secret ingredient, think for 10 minutes about their game plan, then go cook. When they cook, they only cook one of each plate in the hour. Then they spend more time off camera cooking for the judges and plating and all.

You forgot to post the only Iron Chef female Chef....Cat Cora...I actually haven't seen her cooking....anyway my favorite chef is MArio Battali. I can't beleive that Marimoto is one of original Iron Chef and Morimoto's currently record on Iron Chef America as of MArch 2008  (win/loss/tie) is 16-9-1.

I think the Japanese one is totally hilarious, especially with the translation ha ha

I like Chen the guy that usually dresses in Yellow. Maybe it is because I love hot and spicy food but whether it is the Japanese or American one I would love to be a judge just to try some of those meals.

Well, they do, but they get 10 minutes to plan, which is something they don't show/tell the viewers. lol. It's kind of disappointing when you find out. =/

Hey SHay..do you have favorite episode??? Have you watch the episode Batali vs Rachel Ray? I'm too sleepy to watch it so I've missed it.

I don't think I've seen that episode Ennaid. I did see one where Rachel Ray was teamed with Bobby Flay, I think, and they were competing against Giada De Lorentis (however you spell it) and Batali. That was a really good episode, but I have a horrible memory. lol. I can't even remember what the secret ingredient was in that episode.

Mr.Spock, I've seen that guy...I think his name is Guy, right? lol...I've seen him in TGIFriday commercials and on one of the recipe showdown shows, but I have not seen him on Iron Chef yet.

Guy was his name. I was surprised he won, I thought for sure the other finalist who I can't remember his name would of won.

I have been dying to see 'Guy' in action.
