One of my favorite series. Very involved plot. I highly suggest renting the early seasons and catching up.
Show is FINALLY back on Feb 7th with 16 new episodes in a row!

Lost is a great show. Who else watches it and understands what the heck is going on?!

it is in its 2nd or 3rd season now and the public is completely obsessed with it. the internet site is one of the most viewed of all TV shows sites because of the additional clues and info they give that is not shown on the normal show.
My prediction is that it is a 4 or 5 year run show and then it will slow down. But its influence, with the massive cast and many many separate story lines overlapping and crossing is now being copied and used on other shows - like Heroes (another one of our favorites!)

FINALLY BACK TONIGHT!!!
LOST
CHARACTERS

NAME PLAYED BY

JACK SHEPPARD Matthew Fox
A highly trained surgeon from the U.S., Jack Sheppard came to Australia to find his estranged and wayward father. Now he finds himself the reluctant leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815, and is constantly fighting to keep them alive and well.

KATE AUSTIN Evangeline Lilly
Always a mystery to her fellow castaways, Kate is a beautiful fugitive who will do whatever it takes to escape the law -- and keep her secret past to herself. She has a budding relationship with Jack, but also high sexual tension with Sawyer.

JAMES "SAWYER" FORD Josh Holloway
Sawyer is a Southern bad-boy, though his callous and sarcastic demeanor hides a seething self-loathing. He is always looking out for his own interests -- though he can be uncharacteristically unselfish when the situation demands it.

JOHN LOCKE Terry O'Quinn
Once a paralyzed dreamer working for a box company, the crash gave back Locke his ability to walk. Now he believes that the island holds his destiny. He is a skilled hunter and tracker, and a leader with mysterious motives of his own.

CHARLIE PACE Dominic Monaghan
Charlie was once a passionate musician in the British rock band Drive Shaft, a life that led him to drug addiction and destitution. His new life on the island has given Charlie a second chance: he has kicked his habit and found someone to take care of.

BOONE CARLISLE Ian Somerhalder
The son of a wealthy business mogul, Boone was eager to help and soon became a disciple to John Locke. He was in love with Shannon, his step-sister. Several weeks after being stranded on the island, he died of injuries sustained after falling off a cliff.

SHANNON RUTHERFORD Maggie Grace
Boone's step-sister comes off as a spoiled rich girl at first look. She appears shallow and self-centered, which keeps others -- especially Boone -- at a distance. But Shannon has an honest heart and desires to be respected by the other castaways.

SAYID JARRAH Naveen Andrews
Once a communications officer in Iraq's Republican Guard, Sayid was driven to Australia and his fate in search of the woman he loves. He is intelligent and level-headed, but capable of doing whatever it takes to reach his objectives.

HUGO "HURLEY" REYES Jorge Garcia
A down-to-earth guy, Hurley saw his life go from zero to infinity when he won a major lottery jackpot. Since then he has been haunted by his "lucky" numbers, which are in fact a curse. He does his best to be helpful to Jack and the others on the island.

MICHAEL DAWSON Harold Perrineau
Michael is struggling to be a father to young Walt, of whom he recently took custody following the death of his mother. He is a determined man without strong loyalties to anyone but his son, and will go to great lengths to try and find a way off the island.

WALT LLOYD Malcolm David Kelley
Michael's 10-year-old son is Walt, who from all appearances is a normal kid who likes TV and his dog Vincent. But Walt is "special," a child with uncanny luck and heretofor uncertain abilities. What he wants most is to find a home and stay there.

JIN KWON Daniel Dae Kim
The son of a Korean fisherman, Jin was recruited by Sun's powerful father in exchange for his permission to marry her. As a result Jin has found himself doing some distasteful things, but decided before leaving for the U.S. that he wants out.

SUN KWON Yunjin Kim
Once an idealistic young bride, Sun resolved to leave her husband when she learned of the terrible things Jin was doing for her father. She learned English and planned to flee at the airport in Australia -- but could not leave the man she still loves.

CLAIRE LITTLETON Emilie de Ravin
An Australian woman who was more than eight months pregnant when she boarded Flight 815, Claire is anxious about being a single mother. She was abducted and missing for several days. Now that her son has been born she is concerned for his safety.

I'll wait to talk about this week's episode until you see it. Post what you thought after you see this week's show.

but we can talk about older stuff. so what is your theory about why they, and the others, are on these islands, or are they on an island at all? what do you think

Yes I'm looking forward to it coming back on Sunday too.

There are many theories going round as to what is going on. Some of them are plausible but most of them seem to get blown away after a few minutes of watching.

I definitely think it is some sort of experiment but I'm not quite sure what that experiment is and I have no idea what they are hoping to achieve by it.

What I can't quite figure out is how could they justify crashing a plane just to try some things out?

It was a little confusing tonight. there wasn't any flashbacks yet there were people walking about in a city....or maybe it was a hologram like in Star Trek!!!
The Others quiet life seemed to go up in smoke when Kate, Sawyer and Jack were let loose on them.

i predict a riot indeed :D

Big show tonight. A lot of flashbacks and deja vus. Charlie is told that he is going to die.
What did everyone think?

Next week we are supposed to get the answers to 3 of the big questions of the entire series.

OMG!  Best. Episode. Ever.

Lost is back!  Ignore the ratings, this show is on top of its game once again.

I agree Kitty. I think they had a real awakening during the break and realized that they were losing their viewers. Sometimes being weird, or mysterious, or creating endless mystery is not good. eventually you HAVE to tell the viewers something or they get board guessing. I am happy that they are starting to pull together some of the endless story lines.

Kitty - who do you think those people "watching" are that they showed in the preview for next week?

been a member for a few weeks but just got around to checking everything out. seems to be a lot of lost fans here. we watch it also and is one of our favorite shows.
but i think the show has really lost (sorry for the pun) it's way and this might be the last year for it, or next year at the latest.
