I am also catching up this weekend and just saw the show where it ended showing Jack playing football with the others and seeming to have a good time. Pretty crazy ending.

And in the next show I just can't believe how many bad decisions Locke is making. Blowing up the communications building. blowing up the sub. Just one thing after another. And John made it easy for the leader of the not look bad with his people (as a lier or as someone who was weak). I understand that John can walk on the island and he is safe from his father, but this is nuts.

Obviously I am way way behind and still have about 5 shows to catch completely up. Going to watch the next show now.

I know exactly what you mean! Locke locke locke. He just had to blow up everything. I'm not sure about the 1-week thing, but Juliet's up to something!

I am still catching up all of the shows I missed. I can't believe that they buried the jewel thieve couple alive. That was what you call "irony". Good episode and a nice catch up to the main characters on the island.
Then Locke blows up the submarine. The more I catch up the more I can not believe him. I don't care if he can walk or not.

It is very funny to see the tough guy Sawyer unable to even gut a fish and actually need the help from everyone else. It was funny to see him apoligize and try to be friends with everyone. He looks so uncomfortable the entire time, lol .... and just like that he is up for the leader of the group.

The "monster" or weird black smoke monster is very strange and it cant get through the fence when the girls are running rom it. Strange scene and they better explain more soon!

Still catching up and I can not believe that jack and everyone came back, including Julia from the others, who is really there with bad intentions.

At least we are finally learning about how many of the people got to the island and what they were working on with the medical experiments, etc.

The arrow in the neck was an amazing start to the show i am on, but then it was a vision again, only to be played out later in the camping trip, where a helicopter crashes, proving part of the vision correct about someone else coming to the island.

I really thought Charlie died! I watched the episode yesterday and I won't post anything yet since you're still catching up. The episode yesterday wasn't slow and boring.

I read in the newspaper that the finale of Lost will air the same time as the finale of American Idol.

All right, I am completely caught up and I watched this week's episode. pretty great show this week. When chubby shot the flare and said "whoops" that was laugh out loud funny. I can not believe that they keep letting One-eye go over and over. He can't be a good guy, even if he did save the injured woman who parachuted onto the island. Julie again proves to be evil and plays Quan completely and is fooling the entire group of survivors. Even if she says she "hates" Ben when leaving him the taped message, she is still working for him.
And what an ending, with the woman who landed telling Chubby that people in the real world had found their plane and there were "no survivors". Amazing twist. I can't wait until we learn more from her.

I just hope they do not bring in Aliens or some other goofy plot to explain it.

that would really suck. I think one of the problems this show is having now is that they dont have a clear end, or direction for the story to go in. They have spent so much time confusing the fans with endless story line plots that they might have lost even some of the hard core fans like I was. I still like the show, but worry about the future direction ....

Yep, they seem to be all over for the storyline and they seem to be running out of ideas and this revelation about flight being lost and all dying sounds like a cliff hanger to end the season. Almost sounds like a "Bermuda Triangle" type of thing where they disappear and never seen again.

Maybe when the series ends it will be a secret government experiment?

I dunno but some of the storylines just have turned me off, I still never miss it but sometimes it is trying and with record low viewers during the season I am not alone and hopefully they can find a way to make it more interesting and carry on.

Castaways found? ABC, producers set end-date for TV hit Lost

The end is in sight for ABC-TV hit Lost, as the network has struck a deal with the show's producers to end the island mystery series after three more seasons.

According to reports in trade papers Hollywood Reporter and Variety, the award-winning show will see three additional condensed seasons of 16 episodes each — which will be broadcast uninterrupted, in consecutive weeks. The series will end during the 2009-2010 television season

Only 16 episodes a season? I guess that is ok if they are shown in a row.

I eagerly await how they end this show. I hope it is not a dream, aliens.

I wonder if it is a secret government programme? Thats what is sort of looks like, but ya never know.

that is very "Soprono-ish" way to end the show, but at least it will give the show a set end date to build to and start explaining some of the currently criss crossing, seemingly pointless, something important, sometimes confusing, plot lines that never seen to stop crossing over each other.

All I want to know is what on Earth the Dharma Initiative actually is and what the island is for.

Then I would be happy. The other mysteries are just bonuses. :)

big show tonight. here is what it says for the show tonight:
Episode: The Man Behind the Curtain. Ben begrudgingly introduces Locke to the island's secrets, including mysterious Jacob; Juliet's secret goes public.

Should be a good show.
