| the spliced tape thing drives me nuts. gives the writers almost any out they want for the story line. And yes, I have thought for some time that there must be another facility we have not seen yet. it would make total sense that someone is there monitoring all of this madness.

All the Dharma people were supposedly killed. Bens father was the skeleton in the VW Van that Sawyer, Hurley and whoever discovered that was full of beer. Naomi isn't who she says she is. Walt says the same thing about the "Others" in an ealier episode. Penny tries to contact Desmond and gets Charlie in "The Looking Glass" after getting a call from some sort of Polar Research station that hears a signal. It goes on and on.
One thing holds true. If you take the time to go through and read about each character--and Wikipedia has a pretty good outline of each--you will definately start to see that the "Losties" have all met at one time or have met or bumped into each other....etc. I'm still leaning towards some sort of time fluctuation or rift, or possibly they are all connected like The 4400.

| well they are definitely connected, that much we are sure of now. And i still wonder about Walt. What is your take on Walt and his sudden showing up and then being gone again, etc.

Walt is an enigma. He supposedly has "special powers". That was revealed several times. And he is the one that tells John Locke to get up out of the pit where he was shot and left for dead by Ben. He tells Locke he has work to do. He was also "experimented" on by the "Others". Remember in the earlier episodes when he is at his stepdad's house and is reading that book on birds? When Brian does not respond to him about looking at the book (because his mother is sick) a bird hits the window. Strangely the bird is the same that is in the book. Michael also gives Walt a gift of a stuffed polar bear when he thinks he is saying goodby for the last time...go figure. And in a later episode Walt is rescued by Michael and John Locke from being attacked by a polar bear in the jungle after he gets mad and leaves with Vincent his dog.
The problem I am having is Walt has visibly aged. Dr. Richard Alpert who is one of the original "Others" doesn't seem to have aged after being there for over 30 years.
I don't know. I am begining to talk myself in circles. Blasted show.

| lol - my wife said the same thing about Walt. They cant hide the actor growing up as well as the adults, which creates quite a quandary for them since they are only supposed to have been there for a little while and Walt looks like he aged 10 years, lol

I was wondering if not having breast augmentation was written into their contracts for the show? It actually would be hilarious to see the women "balloon" because of some mysterious feature of the island.

| Does anyone remember if in the last episodes John Locke ever got mad at Ben for shooting him and leaving him for dead? I know Jack roughed Ben up pretty good, but just don't remember if John ever did or said anything. I don't know about you, but I'm afraid I would want to get my hands around that bug-eyed freak's neck if he had shot me. Obviously there is something they're not telling us.

Which is weird in my book. Locke throws a knife and supposedly kills Naomi, but knows that he can only threaten Jack. He does nothing to Ben.
I give up. It's like a bad soap opera.

I haven't had time to watch that show at all. I have know idea what it is about. I got to watch the first 5 minutes of the new episode of Eureka! on Sic-Fi with everyone bursting into flames and then even that got interrupted.
I've also lost what's going on in Jericho.
I think LOST is the only one where we have followed most of it.

Hm... I watched the whole first season of Lost. Then I watched some of the second. Then I began to realize the show was never going to end and it was getting very out of hand and unreal. Then I stopped watching it.

| you should get back into it, because now we KNOW it is going to end in the next few years so things should start coming to more answers.

| LMAO! It keeps getting better. ENDING IN 2010? That couldn't support my point about the show never ending any better.

| So what happens in the next season. I saw the end of the last season and they are back on land, but want to go back to the island? What is up with that?
